Our Enclosures are designed and built to International, U.S. and Canadian building codes. Whether or not you will need a
building permit is locally determined according to the laws and by-laws of your city or municipality. It is the purchaser's responsibility to get a permit, if one is required.
We are proud of the fact that Libart Enclosures is the only company in North America that provides site-specific, state approved, engineered enclosures designed to meet your specific needs for wind (up to and including hurricane force 3 when necessary) and compound loads and are built to international and national building code for structural adequacy and safety.
Primary glazing on the roof is High Impact Multi-wall Polycarbonate that provides excellent thermal insulation and filters out 99.9% of the harmful UV radiation. Glazing on the sides and gable ends vary with each model, ranging from Multi-wall Polycarbonate, transparent Polycarbonate and Acrylic sheets. All standard models are glazed in clear material whereas bronze and opal coloured glazing is also available.
Polycarbonate is 200 times stronger than glass and filters out 99.9% of harmful UV rays.
Compact, clear-as-glass, high-impact acrylic is 10 times stronger than glass.
It is recommended but not necessary. Libart's enclosure systems are designed with bolt-down anchorages or continuous rails with specially designed profile systems to withstand loads specific to your location. Please contact your distributor to discuss which model best suits your needs.

The above represent our standard colour palette included in the base price. Should you prefer another colour, we have a custom colour palette of over 100 colours available which would add 5% to the cost of the structure.
The temperature inside the enclosure will vary depending on the outside weather conditions. It's similar to a car, the temperature inside raises with the intensity of the sun. Our clear twin-wall Polycarbonate roof works in much the same way, by trapping the solar radiation and increasing the temperature inside (even on cloudy days). Your enclosure's inside temperature will always be above that of the outside temperature. This not only allows you to use your pool in cool weather but also helps you save energy by reducing your water heating costs. In very cold conditions, when the water is heated, the enclosure will trap radiant heat from the water, again keeping the inside of the enclosure warmer than the outside air.
A level and obstacle-free deck of ceramic, marble, stone, concrete or wood (for railed systems) is required. The deck substructure must be sufficient to carry the weight of the enclosure system. Please contact your local distributor for more information. We have a deck prep sheet available specifically for this purpose.
This is not possible as all the sections slide into one another (telescoping). To reduce any water seepage inside of the enclosure, special brush and EPDM seals are used in all entry points. To help remove rain and snow, it is recommended that the pool deck be slightly declined away from the pool.
Each section is mounted on wheels which run on the pool deck or on rails (depending on the model). A gentle push or pull on the leading unit is all that is required to fully or partially open or close the enclosure. The use of a rail decreases the mechanical resistance of the enclosure. Depending on the model, the complete procedure will not exceed 15 minutes.
Libart uses a computer aided design/ computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system to work out the exact dimensions and details of each system, varying on each customer’s site and needs. Top-quality aluminum makes up the metal structure with transparent or translucent windows. These are made from high strength polycarbonate or high impact acrylic so they won’t break like glass and can be glazed in different shades and visibility levels. Each section sits on the Libart low-profile SecurTrak™ rail system so each can be easily moved by one person. The SecurLok™ ensures the sections are properly connected and not able to move, even in windy conditions.
