Located in the heart of Hanoi, Vietnam, the Hanoi Daewoo Atrium Hotel project demonstrates Libart’s ability to deliver cutting-edge architectural solutions for luxury hospitality spaces. Partnering with Jeil Asit, this installation features a Retractable Skylight System utilizing the advanced SolaGlide Sub System. Designed to create a bright, open atmosphere while offering complete weather protection, the skylight transforms the atrium into a versatile space for dining, events, and leisure.
The system achieves a 75% opening ratio, with the 1st and 5th panels fixed and the 2nd and 3rd panels fully movable, ensuring maximum flexibility and natural light penetration. Spanning 10.3 meters in width and 31.7 meters in length across 21 bays, this structure combines elegance with engineering precision. The glazing incorporates 8mm Solar Low-E Clear Tempered Glass + 14mm spacer + 5.4mm Laminated Clear Tempered Glass, delivering superior thermal performance, UV protection, and safety—all while maintaining crystal-clear views.
Design Excellence and Client BenefitsThe challenge was to integrate a retractable skylight into a high-end atrium without compromising aesthetics or structural integrity. Libart’s SolaGlide system provided the perfect solution, offering smooth operation and a sleek profile that complements the hotel’s architectural style. Guests enjoy an immersive indoor-outdoor experience, while the hotel benefits from enhanced energy efficiency and year-round usability of its atrium space. This project, identified as Project No. 10026, stands as a benchmark for innovation in hospitality design.
